Let cool for 10-15 minutes before removing to a plate. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few crumbs attached. Step 5: BAKE! This will take about 30-35 minutes depending on the size of your pan. Spread batter into your prepared cake pan with a rubber spatula. Step 4: Beat in the flour mixture on the lowest possible speed just until the batter comes together. The mixture will be fragrant! Then beat in eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk.
